Although it’s clear what’s more economical here, I could easily defend paying $1000 to travel to Italy once more, but I can’t defend spending $9 on a bottle of Marinara sauce.
I realize my reasoning is a little flawed, but let’s face it—there are no easy ways to travel to Europe without taking a plane. That being said, there are plenty of excellent substitutes for Rao’s delectable pasta sauces. Do you agree?Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce
How did I find out about Marinara sauce and spaghetti?
I was fascinated when my friend Marian extolled the virtues of Rao’s Homemade Pasta Sauce over a year ago, but I questioned if it was truly as delicious as she said and, more significantly, if it was worth nine dollars.
I’ve been noticing the absurd price of Rao’s Pasta Sauce every time I go to the grocery store and pass the pasta area ever since. To my dismay, though, it was never on sale. And every time, I would rely on my two other preferred pasta sauces, Classico and Barilla, which were also excellent.Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce
However, I recently discovered that Sauce was $5.50 per jar and ON SALE. You can hardly imagine how excited I am!Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce

It was incredible.
It was not heavy.

Ingredients
- Marinara: There’s no question about it; if you enjoy heat, their Aryabhata sauce is also fantastic.
- Olive Oil: Any high-grade olive oil will function.Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce
- Crushed Red Pepper: Since I enjoy spicy cuisine, I suggest using a lot of crushed red pepper in this recipe.
- Onion: You’ll need chopped white onions.
- Garlic: Make careful to chop your garlic since nothing tastes better than fresh garlic in pasta.
- Spaghetti: For extra fiber, I love to use whole-wheat spaghetti. For a gluten-free alternative, feel free to use standard white flour spaghetti or even gluten-free spaghetti.
- Black pepper and salt are spices.Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce
- Parmesan Cheese: This meal tastes great with freshly grated parmesan cheese, but the sauce is so good that you can skip the cheese entirely.
- Fresh Basil:This recipe is incredibly flavorful thanks to the abundance of fresh basil.
