Try this recipe if you enjoy the classic lasagna from Olive Garden!
Please understand that I adore visiting Olive Garden. However, I had to make the classic Olive Garden lasagna in order to expand my library of Olive Garden dishes.
From the handmade tomato sauce and melted cheese to the ground beef and sausage, every bite is bursting with flavor, all sandwiched between soft, baked lasagna noodles. Excellent!
You must prepare these Olive Garden tiramisu for dessert and these Olive Garden breadsticks for a side to enhance the dinner.

Ingredients
One of my favorite features about this lasagna classico dish is how basic the ingredient list is. Since many of them are kitchen/pantry staples, you likely have most of what you’ll need on hand already! Anyway, here’s everything you’ll need to create it:
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated or powdered
- ½lb. ground beef
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½lb. Italian sausage, chopped
- 16 oz. ricotta cheese
- 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 ½ teaspoon dried oregano, divided
- ½ teaspoon salt

Additionally, if you would choose, you can use non-boil lasagna noodles. Just be sure to use them according to the package’s instructions.

How To Make Lasagna Classico
1. Prep:Set the oven’s temperature to 350°F (180°C). Fill a big skillet with oil. In the heated oil, sauté the garlic and onion until aromatic.

2. Cook the meat: To the skillet, add the sausage and ground beef. Cook until browned and cooked through, 10 to 15 minutes over medium heat. If needed, drain any extra fat.

3. Complete the meat sauce: Add half a teaspoon of oregano and the smashed tomatoes to the skillet. Add salt and pepper for seasoning, then simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Make the cheese filling:Put the egg, ricotta cheese, and the last tablespoon of oregano in a big bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Assemble the lasagna:Line the bottom of a baking dish that has been oiled with a tablespoon of the cheese mixture. Next, arrange the meat sauce, cheese mixture, and noodles in layers. Continue layering, then add sauce and additional mozzarella cheese on top of the last layer of noodles.

6. Bake: Bake the baking dish for 20 minutes after covering it with aluminum foil. After taking off the foil, continue baking uncovered for ten more minutes.

How To Store Olive Garden Lasagna Classico
- In the fridge:Place the lasagna in an airtight container or cover the baking dish you used to make it. It will keep in the refrigerator for three to five days if stored in either of these methods.
- In the freezer:You may freeze leftover lasagna in an airtight container for two to three months if you want to keep it for even longer.
- Reheating: Reheat the leftovers in a baking dish at 350°F for approximately 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted again and they are well heated. To get the temperature you want, you can microwave individual lasagna portions in 20-second increments. For frozen lasagna, add extra time.
