This was created by whom? People, really. What are the next plans of the Italians? It’s not Italian, all right. However, doesn’t it entice you to eat this while gliding across a sunflower field in Tuscany? As your hair rushes behind you in slow motion, the soundtrack from Under the Tuscan Sun plays.Chocolate Lasagna

All right, only me?Chocolate Lasagna

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on my eating patterns and have come to the conclusion that I need to drastically alter them. In terms of eating healthily, I’ve never been really strict.Chocolate Lasagna

My efforts have been repeatedly undermined by chocolate cake. Yes, exactly. As if I’m to blame. Yes, exactly. I will not be held accountable for it. Nobody on the planet can resist the allure of chocolate cake. Well, Spider-Man, perhaps. But only because he’s covering his mouth with the cloth.Chocolate Lasagna

ingredients for Chocolate Lasagna

  • 36 Oreo cookies (regular, not double stuffed)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 – 3.9 oz packages chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz tub Cool Whip, divided
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 1/4 cups cold milk, plus 2 tablespoons, divided

Instruction

  1. Grind Oreo cookies into tiny crumbs in a large food processor. Verify that no big pieces remain.
  2. Using a fork, combine cookie crumbs and melted butter in a medium basin. Once the butter has been well combined, pour it into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Press the crumbs as evenly as you can into the baking dish’s bottom using a spatula. While you work on the following step, place the baking dish in the refrigerator.
  3. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream cheese in a medium bowl until it’s frothy. Mix thoroughly after adding the sugar and two teaspoons of cold milk. Stir in 1 1/4 cups of the Cool Whip with a big spoon or spatula until well blended. Cover the cookie crust with the cream cheese mixture. Put the baking dish back in the fridge and leave it there for ten minutes.
  4. Using an electric mixer or whisk, combine 3 1/4 cups cold milk and chocolate instant pudding in a large bowl until the pudding begins to thicken. Cover the cream cheese layer with pudding. Put the baking dish back in the fridge and leave it there for another ten minutes.
  5. Sit back on your couch and imagine how good this exquisite dessert will taste. Begin to salivate.
  6. Cover the pudding layer with the remaining Cool Whip, then top with small chocolate chips. (If you would like extra chocolate chips, feel free to use more than 1/2 cup!)
  7. Freeze for one hour or chill in the refrigerator for four hours.
